My name is Mercedes Goins. I have a bachelor's in visual communication from Northeastern State University, as well as minors in graphic design and mathematics. I have been the editor of NSU's student digital media outlet, The Northeastern, since August 2016. I also currently work for the Tahlequah Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (Tour Tahlequah) as the interim assistant director.
Through my work experience, I have become proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. I have extensive experience in design from logos and advertisements to magazines and products. I also have experience in website design, SEO and social media marketing. I am capable of creating and overseeing a project from beginning to end, as well as managing and delegating to other employees and staff members. Raised in Mesa, Ariz., I am accustomed to cultural diversity. Therefore, I have a high level of respect for the personal practices, beliefs and opinions of others. I greatly value family and an earnest work ethic. I communicate well with others. I am well-organized and punctual. I have an artistic personality which takes form in design, photography, calligraphy and sewing.
